How Does LPG Work with diesel?
LPG in its gas state is injected into the air intake (via the inlet manifold) in varying levels depending on the demands of the engine. The danger is that if you are not careful, all you get is a steep jump in power, little or no savings and potential damage to your engine and this is exactly what some systems deliver.
The system that we fit has been set up to deliver gas at specific points in the engine map and gives certified and customer-proven savings without the dangerous jump in horsepower. In other words, your truck will perform in exactly the same way but on around 75% diesel and 25% gas.
Beware of any systems that claim to deliver savings by way of increased power. There is a theory that if you modify an engine so that is more powerful and you don't use that extra power, then you can make savings. But you can't have your cake and eat it and most drivers will make use of that extra power, risking potential engine damage.
