What Can I Save ?
Whilst savings are very welcome, there is obviously a cost of conversion that has to be justified.
Some of our customers have very high fuel bills - in fact one well-known company spends around £110,000 per truck per year. With a saving of around 12%, his payback time is about 6 months and he then saves £13,200 per truck per year for the next 4 or 5 years!
Each case must be looked at carefully and Diesel/LPG certainly isn’t for everyone. But with diesel prices at their highest ever levels and not likely to fall, demand is rising rapidly. The technology is also improving all the time and achievable savings are gradually rising.
Once converted, a truck will use about 75% diesel and 25%
LPG, resulting in an overall saving of 10-15%. The calculator below
